  • Advice regarding Provincial and Federal human rights complaints, assisting with any investigation and acting as counsel throughout the process including mediation, arbitration and litigation
  • Advice in relation to privacy law and pension issues
  • Advice regarding the suitability of severance packages, including the negotiation of more favourable terms for terminated employees
  • Interpretation and advice regarding employment contracts, management agreements, consulting arrangements, competition and confidentiality agreements, change of control and retention contracts, stock options, bonus plans and trade secrets
  • Post-employment competition disputes involving fiduciary and good faith duties and restrictive covenants
  • Judicial review of tribunal decisions

In resolving employment disputes, it is our aim to obtain a fair and reasonable result for our clients, while at the same time remaining mindful of the cost and time involved in litigation. Where appropriate, we typically attempt to resolve these matters through early negotiation and settlement. However, when necessary, we have successfully represented parties in employment matters before both the courts and administrative tribunals.
